I know that the search for a therapist can be overwhelming, and yet, the relationship with the person you find is the single most important factor in determining your success. I am someone who believes in this process and wants you to know that healing is possible.

About Me

I have worked for over a decade in addiction and mental health settings, and the people I work with tend to be those who need help with addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, loss, and life transitions. I am a licensed addiction counselor, a licensed professional counselor, and my educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Regis University, and a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

What my clients say they like most about me is how real and human I am, and that I’m a straight shooter who shoots with kindness. I have done (and continue to do) my own therapeutic work, and tell my clients that I won’t guide them or ask them to go anywhere I haven’t been myself. I love deep conversations, being with trees in any setting, dance as often as possible, and learn as much as I can about octopuses.

I know that no single approach is the right one for every individual, so I have been trained in and work with a range of modalities, including dialectical and cognitive behavioral, trauma-informed, psychodrama, and body based therapies to best suit your needs.

My role as a therapist is to work with you in recognizing that you are an amazing, unique individual no matter what stories you tell about yourself, or what stories have been told about you. Let’s work together to realize the possibility of healing in a future you can live into.

“When you listen generously to people, they can hear truth in themselves, often for the first time.”
